When booking online, clients are required to check off an I agree to the cancellation policy box. Clicking the phrase "cancellation policy" will display the policy for the client. This document explains how to adjust your practice's cancellation policy.
Scheduling settings
A time limit for cancellations can be set. The time limit will be displayed in the cancellation policy. Follow these steps to set the time limit:
- On a computer or tablet, click Setup and then Scheduling settings
- Click the SCHEDULING RULES tab, which is located in the upper left corner of the page
- Scroll down to the "Clients can cancel/reschedule up to" section
- Using the drop-down menu in that section, select the time limit you'd like to add
- In the bottom right corner of the page, click the SAVE button
Payment settings
You can also set a late cancellation (and no-show) fee. Again, the fee will be displayed in the cancellation policy. Follow these steps to set the fee:
- On a computer or tablet, click Setup and then Payment settings
- Scroll down to the "Do you have a no-show / late cancellation fee?" section
- Select the Yes option, which will present fee structure option
- Select your preferred fee structure option and fill out any additional field(s) that may appear
- In the bottom right corner of the page, click the SAVE button
