Step 5: Picking your payment settings in ClinicSense

About payment settings

  • While you'll get the best experience by activating invoicing, all payment settings are entirely optional
  • Connecting to Square is highly recommended because it enables credit card collection, No-Show Guard™️ protections, and online invoicing
  • Activating No-Show Guard™️ s highly recommended because it keeps you in control in the event of a no-show or late cancellation
  • With No-Show Guard™️, you can require clients to enter a credit card number when booking online (or even pre-pay for the appointment)


Part A: Activate invoicing

  1. Go to Setup, then Payment settings
  2. Optionally, set Would you like to use ClinicSense to invoice clients? to Yes
  3. Optionally, if not using invoicing, move on to Step 6: Setup completion checklist for ClinicSense
  4. Click Save, in the bottom right corner
  5. Move on to Part B, below

Part B: Connect Square

  1. Complete Part A, above
  2. Optionally, click the Connect to Square button
  3. Optionally, follow the on-screen prompts to connect your existing Square account (or to set up a new Square account)
  4. Click Save, in the bottom right corner
  5. Move on to Part C, below

Part C: Add taxes

  1. Complete Part B, above
  2. Go to the Taxes tab, near the top left
  3. Optionally, enter your first Tax Name and Tax %
  4. Optionally, click the add (+) icon to add another tax
  5. Click Save, in the bottom right corner
  6. Move on to Part D, below

Part D: Activate No-Show Guard™️

  1. Complete Part C, above
  2. Go to the No-Show Guard™️ tab, near the top left
  3. Select your No-Show Guard™️ preferences
  4. Click Save, in the bottom right corner
  5. Move on to Step 6: Setup completion checklist for ClinicSense
