Pausing your account is useful if you're taking a break from practice, i.e. going on leave or taking an extended vacation. It lets you keep access to all of your data, while reducing your subscription cost. However, new clients and appointments can't be added to a paused account.

Before you begin
Before choosing to pause your account, it's important to understand the following.
- The account can be unpaused at any time
- The pause will begin at the end of your current billing cycle
- Once you pause your account, ClinicSense will continue to host all of your data
- You will have read-only access to everything within your account; including client files, SOAP notes, your calendar, reports, email communication history, and gift certificates
- Only account superusers can pause an account
- Only monthly subscriptions can be paused
Pausing an annual subscription
If you have an annual plan, you'll first need to switch to a monthly billing cycle. That will create a credit on your account. The $5 per month payment for the paused account will be taken from the account credit, until there is no credit remaining, or until you reactivate the subscription.
