How to ask clients to pre-pay or enter a card number when booking online

In order to ask clients to enter their credit card number (or to pre-pay) when booking an appointment online, you must have a merchant account with ClinicSense so that we can store the information securely and charge the credit card when required.

Once you have a merchant account, you can ask clients to enter their credit card number (or pre-pay) when booking online by following these steps:

  1. Go to Setup
  2. Payment Settings

  3. Navigate to the No-show guard™ tab.

  4. Indicate the deposit settings you'd like to use. Your pre-pay options are the following:
  • Nothing
  • Nothing, but ask for their credit card number
  • A deposit
  • The full amount of the service

Note: You can then choose if you’d like to apply these settings to all clients or new clients only.
